Earlier this year, I ran across
an original copy of "A History of Kagnew Station and American Forces in
Eritrea" on ebay and it cost me over $90.00 to get it! The history on the
Kagnew site was manually keyed in by me years ago from a photocopy of this
book. In the 10 years I've been doing this web page, this is only the 2nd copy
I've ever seen and I missed a chance on that copy. I wasn't going to miss this
one.
Unbelievably, a short time later I was able to make contact with
John Rasmuson, the author of the book and he provided me with a perfect,
original copy! My thanks to John.
It's possible I could create a CD of
extremely high quality images of each page and make it available for purchase,
with the price being just enough to cover the cost of the CD and mailing to
you. Scanned images of that size would just be too large for the web page and
my available bandwidth and would be extremely painful for those that do not
have broadband access. |
